Aufgaben
- You develop and design innovative and cost effective solutions from concept sketches to final series design for different electrolysis equipment, focusing on Chlor-Alkali Electrolysis (CAE) cells, electrolyzer stacks as well as further equipment and levering synergies to Alkaline Water Electrolysis technology (AWE)
- You design 3D models and derive product drawings for development projects and also execute them independently
- You identify possible improvements of existing products and support in defining development projects to implement improvements to existing and new products.
- You sit at the interface between product development and fabrication to transfer development result or improvements from prototype stage to qualified series production.
- You coordinate with internal and external partners for development projects and conduct technical conversations
- It is also part of your job to support during test facility plants assembly campaigns and commissioning.
- You analyze results, prepare result presentation including clear conclusions and report the results to the business leader.
- Ideally, you bring knowledge in the field of sheet metal processing / welding and/or plastic fabrication.
Profil
- You have a university degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
- Ideally, you gained first years of experience in design of steel or sheet metal structures as well as electrolysis plants / equipment.
- You have good knowledge of 3D- and 2D CAD tools and modern PDM/PLM systems (preferably Solid Edge and Teamcenter)
- Basic experience in mechanical simulation & modelling such as FEM/CFD is an asset.
- You have the ability to think analytically and to identify development and quick-win potentials.
- You are highly motivated for taking over ownership, have a hands-on mentality and are team-oriented.
- Basic experience in mechanical design of process equipment is an asset.
- Your intercultural awareness supports you leveraging cultural differences.
- You are proficient in German and English.
- You are willing to travel inside Germany as well as internationally.
